If you have deep pockets so as to do more affective cleaning and infected tissue and tartar cleaning you do not necessarily need flap operations.

In such cases, gum is removed and infected tissues under it are cleaned and gum is closed again.

If it is needed bone grafts can be used,or patient’s own bones can be used to catch up missing tissues.
